Production
The textile fabrication chain is complex and includes a lot of different steps. In our opinion the conventional method is preposterous and not contemporary.
Short distances are important to us. Our local manufacture enables minimum transport distances and a close co-operation with our seamstresses. Direct communication and also control at any time and without misunderstanding is possible. Demands of fabrication and experience with production can be considered in the design. Short distances allow spontaneity and quick delivery times and they support social structures in the close vicinity.
Slowmo produces in a sewingroom in Berlin-Schöneberg. It is a small, growing business with a stable team of five employees plus trainees.
For our prints we work with a studio in Berlin-Friedrichshagen. They are handmade with sceenprint.
Design and patterns are made in the slowmo studio.
